Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has revealed how he took revenge on an old schoolyard bully.

Martin told how he was picked on at the school for being ‘a bit of a swot’ because he preferred to play the piano instead of sports. Contactmusic.com reports that Martin was out with his wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, and he ran into the sane boy who used to bully him.

He said: ‘He was a bully who always said I wouldn’t make anything of myself. I had great pleasure asking what he was up to now. He wasn’t up to much. Then I turned around and said, ‘This is my wife Gwyneth.’

‘His face dropped and he looked really embarrassed. It was a proud moment. I’m not one to get my own back and look for revenge - but that was pretty sweet.’
