Furtado’s Good Thing
Published November 27th, 2006 in News.
Nelly Furtado struck gold when Chris Martin walked into the same studio as US hip hop star Nelly and mega-producer Timbaland were working in Miami. The three got together with Furtado and co-wrote her next single — All Good Things — which is taken off her platinum-selling album Loose. The Canadian pop star is full of admiration for the Coldplay frontman and songwriter.
“It was a great story. He came in a jam with us in Miami actually. We were jamming all night and he had to leave cos he had a Coldplay gig the next day,” Furtado said. “I said, why do all good jams have to come to an end and then the next jam was this song. He’s great. I met him during the festival circuit here in the UK early on in my career and yeah, I think he is one of the best songwriters in the world.”
“Chris was totally at home in the studio and was a great experience writing with him. He is one of the most artistically creative people I have worked with to date and he gives the Nelly sound a slightly different flavour”
